Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a nation-wide movement to create an enduring and trusting patient-physican relationship. It is an affordable membership based model that strives to provide value to the patient.
The patient (not the insurance) chooses their physician.
We focus on longterm preventative care and wellness through unhurried interactions. We provide frequent discussions to assess lifestyle choices and treatment decisions. We are able to support this committment to service by limiting patient panel size.
Our ultimate goal is health and wellbeing, not simply the treatment of disease. It is a modern take to giving old fashioned care.
We do not bill the insurance for physician services and our fees are transparent. Insurance companies do not cover many services offered by direct primary care. We value care for the patient and not volume.
Direct primary care and concierge care are not synonymous. In concierge practices, the patient typically pays a high retainer fee in addition to insurance premiums and other plan obligations (e.g., copays, out-of-pocket expenditures), and the practice continues to bill the patient’s insurance carrier.
